Step into a world of faith, bravery, and adventure at this year’s Vacation Bible School (VBS): "The Castle of Courage!"

Led by Riley Dugan and Natalie Fowler, children and teens will embark on a thrilling journey through the kingdom of King Ardor, where they’ll meet the famous Knights of the Oval Table. These mighty warriors will guide young adventurers in learning that true courage—the kind that helps us face whatever comes our way—comes from trusting God.

What to Expect at Castle of Courage VBS

This exciting week will be packed with:

Bible Adventures – Engaging stories that teach courage and faith
Games & Activities – Fun challenges that build teamwork and confidence
Music & Worship – Uplifting songs to inspire young hearts
Snacks & Fellowship – Time to connect and recharge
Science Experiments – Hands-on fun with a purpose

At Castle of Courage VBS, we’re doing more than just entertaining kids—we’re helping them build a strong foundation of faith in a loving and supportive community.

Location: St. James Parish Hall

Participant Ages: Children 4 years old (as of September 1, 2025) through 5th grade

Participant Cost: We ask for a $5 donation (cash on the first day) to help with supplies

Participant Sign-up Deadline: Monday, June 2, 2025

Volunteer Team

Volunteer ages: 6th grade and older!

Volunteer Sign-up Deadline: Monday, May 19, 2025

Volunteer Training with Lunch: Sunday, June 1st, after the 10:30 service.

The entity “St. James” in this agreement refers to: St. James Episcopal Church, Marietta, including but not limited to Vacation Bible School – and all staff, teachers, directors, administrators, employees or agents including volunteers of St. James Episcopal Church. In consideration of my child’s being accepted by St. James VBS, neither I, my spouse, nor my child will hold St. James liable for any accidents, loss, or injury to my child occurring while attending St. James - on the playground of the Church, or in any fashion connected with activities of St. James, unless such accident, loss or injury is caused by the negligence of St. James in which case I shall limit any claim I have or file to no more than the liability insurance coverage of St. James. In the event of an emergency requiring immediate medical attention, the staff members of St. James are authorized to consent to such medical treatment for my child as is deemed immediately necessary. I further understand that I or the persons whose emergency telephone numbers appear on the registration form will be notified as quickly as possible. Furthermore, I understand that health insurance of my child is not the responsibility of St. James. I hereby consent to allow St. James to use my child’s likeness, photograph, words, voice, drawings or other presentations of my child’s thinking for any publications, communications with parents, website or marketing materials. Your child’s full name will not be disclosed. I hereby hold harmless and waive all claims against St. James with respect to any liability arising from the use thereof. I certify my child’s immunizations (or exemption) are up to date. I have read and understand the above agreement and will abide by the policies herein.
