Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone at St. James Episcopal Church. We strive to build a strong sense of community through meaningful interactions, shared experiences, and mutual support. Embracing the principles of Christian hospitality, we aim to make everyone feel valued, loved, and connected to our church family.
We organize fellowship events, support church services, and foster relationships through small group gatherings. Through these efforts, our Hospitality and Fellowship Ministries nurture a vibrant and caring community, reflecting Christ’s love and grace to all who enter our doors.
Every Sunday after the 10:30 service, members of the congregation gather to share coffee, light snacks, and conversation with friends and visitors. Volunteer serving teams host each coffee hour on a rotating basis. Hosting involves serving coffee, tea, a variety of light snacks, and cleaning up afterward.
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) is an organization within the Episcopal Church in the United States. It serves as a network for women within the church to come together for fellowship, spiritual growth, and service to their communities. The ECW provides opportunities for women to engage in various ministries, missions, and outreach projects. The ECW often hosts meetings, retreats, and events where members can connect, share experiences, and support one another in their faith journeys. Additionally, the organization may undertake initiatives such as fundraising for charitable causes and organizing educational programs. St. James’ ECW overarching goal is for fellowship and to empower women to live out their Christian faith in meaningful ways and make a positive difference in the world around them.

St. James Book Club fosters spiritual growth and community connection through thoughtful discussions of diverse literary works. Meeting monthly, members explore themes of faith, ethics, and human experience. We read a variety of fiction and nonfiction, some just for fun and some more heavy. We do try to find a spiritual element in our readings. The club meets on the third Sunday after the 10:30 service. Open to all, the club encourages deep reflection and shared insights in a welcoming, supportive environment. Join us for enriching conversations!
The St. James Breakfast Crew gathers weekly to prepare and serve hearty breakfasts at 8:45am. This dedicated team fosters fellowship and provides nourishment, welcoming all with warm hospitality. Volunteers cook, set up, and clean, ensuring a delightful start to the day. Join us for food, friendship, and service!
